Having found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, we were delighted to find what we regard as an excellent dining venue. The service was warm and welcoming, the food was beautifully presented and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We were celebrating a minor anniversary but it was acknowledged in the dessert - a lovely touch. We will definitely revisit and recommend it to friends. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and lovely to look at. The restaurant is small and intimate, spotlessly clean and a joy to behold.

The service was good and it had a nice atmosphere but sadly it was overpriced for what we ate. We could taste the yeast in the homemade bread, the steak (approx £30) was over cooked (asked for medium and got well done) and tough, and the Crème brûlée hadn’t set. All in all it was disappointing as is highly rated on Trip Advisor, and I’m not entirely sure why - maybe it was just an off night.

A recommendation from friends, which proved to be a good one. We enjoyed a lovely dinner consisting of freshly cooked delicious food, accompanied with great wine choices. Angela, herself was a friendly host and offered excellent service to all diners, looking after all the tables with a high level of efficiency. A mix of couples and small groups in the restaurant on the Saturday that we dined there made it a great atmosphere, and a night that none of us wanted to end.

What a wonderful venue to spend a quiet and intimate date night. Small and non pretentious family run restaurant.
Fresh local and honest home cooked food presented beautifully into a plate, like a piece of artwork.
We managed to squeeze in 3 courses, each course was delicious. My gluten free diet was not a problem and there was a good choice of dishes. It was nice that you got a reasonable break between each course, never felt rushed. Don't know how Angela does it, she looks after each table personally, comes back to ask if all is ok without it feeling intrusive. Brilliant, already told others about it and will be sure to revisit.
