Very enjoyable and flavoursome meal for reasonable prices, a lovely alternative to the mass of chain restaurants in the city. I had the Cacik (tzatziki) to start, and shared a meat platter for main. Both dishes were very tasty, and a good size for the price, the lamb chops were fantastic. Plenty of options for non meat eaters too. Service was prompt enough, could have been a bit more friendly but certainly not a complaint.

Thank gseward

Wonderful food, flavours and service!
So good to see the meat being cooked in the traditional way, no cheating here!
Our family is half Turkish and have lived there for a few years so expectations were high! We were not disappointed!
Starters we had 2 meze for 2, and 3 lahmacun (very thin ‘pizza’ with spiced minced meat and tomato). This was plenty for 8, pleased to see fried potatoes and dolma, hummus and tzaziki. Also the salad was good.
Mains.. 4 of us chose the mixed meat grill for 4 with rice (pictured). Oh. My. God. Beautifully cooked lamb chops, fall apart lamb ribs, tasty chicken wings, spicy shish kofte, and lamb and chicken cubes. The salad that came with it was heavily dressed with lemon, sumac, oil etc and was perfect, fresh and crunchy.
The others had mousses, lamb ribs, (and I can’t remember the other two dishes as I was too busy cleaning some lamb bones. :)
Good relaxed atmosphere and a polite and attentive waiter.
Only my children had room for deserts, both choosing the baklava, which looked very good.
Finished with Turkish coffees and teas, and very happy tummies.

We went to the ottoman grill (behind st georges market) for our valentines day meal. We were made to feel welcome by friendly staff from the minute we walked through the door. The food was perfectly cooked and a hearty quantity. We tried a couple of traditional turkish deserts that were new to us, both or which were wonderful. If you like Mediterranean food you'll really enjoy the ottoman grill.

Discovered this restaurant by accident wandering through the back streets and it was a great discovery. Starter: Mixed Meze - really enjoyed these starters and the baba ganoush in particular. Main: Mixed Grill platter - a great selection of meats all nicely cooked. Finished off with a really nice Baklava.
