Have been searching for a decent Indian takeaway since the regular closed. This ticks all the right boxes! Can't complain. Stuffed

We ordered a large selection which kept us going the next day too on our weekend in Devon. Free poppsdums, chicken chilli fry (quite sweet and sticky) to start, then a hot chicken archari, tarka dhal, paneer shashlick with sauce, and mushroom bhaji.

The paneer was excellent, cooked just like chicken tikka - good to have it on the menu, and my archari was spicy, though a little sour for my taste. The dhal and mushrooms were ok, not that rich in flavour, but overall it was all very good.
If youre picking up food, it's a little hard to find somewhere to park as its on a busy road, but definitely worth a visit. Looked nice inside for a sit down too.

Delicious food, great service and the friendliest staff. This is definitely our favourite curry stop in Exeter whether we eat in or takeaway. We recommend choosing from the chefs specials menu.

It was my husband's birthday, so there was no question - his birthday meal had to be at the Gurkha Kitchen. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. The poppadums are the best I've ever had - thin, warm and tasty, and the main courses are just what you would want from such a restaurant. Each dish has a distinctive flavour and extremely tasty - (unlike some restaurants where each dish tastes the same but with a different colour sauce) The chef must put a lot of thought and effort into making each dish so flavoursome without blowing your head off with too many chillies!
The staff are always smiling, helpful and courteous - it's like being welcomed as part of the family! Also, as an added treat this time, my husband was presented with a free ice-cream with a candle, and the staff sang Happy Birthday to him, giving him a bottle of beer and a brandy! He was really pleased, as we all were.
This is definitely our favourite restaurant, and will be going back many times!
