This is the best lodge in Exmoor which overlooks the river high up in the trees between lynton and lynmouth. beautiful clean - we will return.
The area has national Trust properties, moorland, walking, beautiful bays and wonderful tea shops.
porlock, dunster, and so on.

Room Tip: Any one of the lodges is beautiful - but order bedlinen also clean and fresh saves such a lot of bot...

Very enjoyable. Warm welcome, well run camp site, next to lovely fast flowing stream. Very good indeed! Site is a few mins drive from local villages though very good pub meals available adjacent to site.

Have just returned from a 2 night stay in one of the cabins.Great little campsite with tidy grounds and kept nice and clean with very friendly staff.
Did a lovely walk from here which had amazing views.
Easy access to Lynton / Lynmouth although had a problem finding a taxi on the way back in the evening as only 2 operate in the area evidently. Luckily the chef in the restaurant we ate in gave us a lift back!
If you don't feel like walking there's a nice little boozer right next door to the site :)

It is a lovely little campsite with a good location for access to pubs, walks, shops, restaurants and even a small local cinema. If you want more rural surroundings then maybe one of the nearby farm campsites should be considered.
The staff are all very nice, friendly and polite. They seemed to make conversation with all guests resulting in a very warm welcome and pleasant stay. The shop is well stocked and the cafe offers a wide range of breakfasts (0800-1015) inc. a good full english.
I found the acoustics of the flowing river very theraputic to sleep to however my patner did not agree, personal preferance i suppose.
The shower facilities (2xM 2xF) are a bit dated with sinks in the toilet area. Saying that, it is all exceptionally clean. I am only mentioning this as it portrays itself as a 5* stay which it is not. It has sinks for washing up but lacks a fridge for campers and would need more modern facilities to be a 5*. We would happily stay here again.
