Lovely apartment, very well equipped stayed here ss a psrty of 6 adults for a special birthday. Fantastic views of boats as you opened the downstairs balcony with bbq. The water taxi makes easy access to The BARBICAN with plenty of bars and restaurants to visit.. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. The accommodation over 3 floors,
offers 2 single beds, and 2 doubles, a main bathroom and 2 en suites. Would love to go back again .

“Great location”

We stayed there in August on our big trip to Europe. Family from around UK came and stayed too and the house was ideal for people to come and go. Location is great Mountbatten pub and restaurant close by, ferry to Barbican is only 5-10 mins away and very convenient. Everything you need and a welcome bottle of wine! Simon kept in touch to make sure everything was ok and communication when booking was excellent as we were booking via email from New Zealand. Very nice neighbours too!

“Brilliant holiday in Shaw Way, Mountbatten”
Reviewed 29 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We stayed at 45 Shaw Way Mountbatten from Saturday 18th to Saturday 25th May 2013. The house had everything that we needed for an excellent holiday and although you are not far from the Barbican, Mountbatten is very quiet. We found the house very clean and tidy with all the equipment listed on the website in working order. Simon had kindly left a bottle of wine for us which was much appreciated.

We used both the double bedrooms – ground floor with patio doors and views across the marina that had a small en-suite and on the third floor that had a spacious Jack and Jill bathroom and good sea views. There is also a third bedroom with twin beds. The house has a comfortable relaxing living/dining room with balcony and patio doors together with a separate large well fitted modern kitchen. On the ground floor there is also a laundry room and another w.c. The accommodation was excellent and exactly as described in the advert.

As we had good weather a couple of nights we used the BBQ that it’s on the ground floor balcony – good for watching the boats whilst cooking! The view across the marina to the harbour was lovely.

The property has parking outside for two cars. When going into Plymouth city centre we often used the Water Taxi – just a ten minute walk away – that takes you directly from Mountbatten into the Barbican. The taxi runs every 30 mins. Fabulous views across Plymouth sound from the top of Shaw Way.

Just a couple of minutes’ walk from the house is The Bridge Restaurant and Bar – great place for just a drink or something to eat.

This was our first visit to the property but I'm sure we will return.

“Everything you need and much more!”
Reviewed 11 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Stayed here for a week with my parents and 20 year old son whilst visiting from New Zealand. Simon was great to deal with from start to finish. The house was warm and cosy, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, good value too. It was a great location, surprisingly quiet, with good walks, shops and restaurants near by, but the best bit has to be the fabulous view over the marina to the Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican, always something to watch whatever the weather or time of day. Make sure you take the little Mount Batten Ferry over to the Barbican to check out the arty shops and great range of restaurants.
