The guest house is clean and tidy, and in a good location, close to the lovely Baabcombe Downs. Danny was very welcoming and amenable. We arrived early but were able to park on the premises until booking - in time. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, despite a slight mix- up on the first morning(!). We had room 4 that was plenty big enough, but is on the main road that was very busy at times and noisy. Close the window and it's ok - but it was too hot for that on one night. The guest house itself was very quiet. There's a Tesco Express very close by, very handy. A plus is is the very efficient Wi Fi.

We arrived on Saturday evening and the first thing we noticed was how welcome Danny & Rita made you feel. We are quite elderly and Danny kindly carried our cases up to our lovely decorated room. What a fantastic choice for breakfast. There were five cereals to choose from, fruit juice, a bowl of mixed fresh fruit, bananas and Yogurt. You can have any combination of the full English breakfast which included, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, hash brown and either fried, poached or scrambled egg, a choice of brown or white toast tea or coffee. In addition on some days, they have a blackboard special. The position is ideal for local buses. There are numerous pubs and eating places close by, also a Tesco Express just a few minutes walk away. As far as I'm concerned it ticks all the boxes.

Room Tip: We had room 4, can't say about any other rooms.

The Position on the Babbacoombe Road was not good for my Sat Nav and the sign had blown down in a recent storm when we did arrive we found it an ideal stay for this resort with an excellent clean room, offering even wine glasses (and a convenient Tesco express right next door for a cold aperitif or night cap). Live music at the Snooty Fox and a refurbished Dolphin pub made the stay a pleasant break to visit this serene and beautiful resort not far from the sea or Torquay itself. Breakfast by Rita served by Danny has a warmth to the homely feel of this guest house. A great local taxi service (Price First on 322 322), even texts you when they arrive to pick you up, stating what car it is and who is driving it (such security and safety to boot). The clock radio is my only feedback which takes ipod connection and there is no USB adapter if you forget to bring a plug - however I am guessing that Danny would have this covered should I have asked but I managed OK because the TV allowed me a top of charge, through its USB point, when it was switched on! All in all, I would come back to this really reasonable and friendly place which even has ample parking access for up to 6 vehicles.

Room Tip: No. 2 is the I think the largest room - view is over parking area

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us. Regarding the USB charger, we do have them you just needed to ask us. The reason we don't leave them in rooms is that they tend to disappear! We are looking at upgrading the clocks in guest rooms. The sign is now back up and is visible from the road! Nice to hear that you would come back and stay with us.

What can you say about this little gem. The owners are fab and take care of your needs. Two minutes from the beach and Babacombe downs.

I stayed in the Attic room and yes it was tiny but also very cosy and fab just to chill out and let your head hit the pillow. I would stay here any day of the week. The breakfast as super and very hot and fresh. Had parking and next to a little tesco if needed. Room was very quiet and had no noise so had a very good night sleep.

Thank you so much for fitting me in at short notice

Dave

Room Tip: Do not need to drive into town. 5 minutes to seafront in torquay
