    I stayed with my family (including 2 young children) over Christmas and this house was a perfect choice. The house was very clean and was equipped with everything you'd ever need. It felt very homely and welcoming and we were really able to relax. The enormous lounge was great. There are 4 big bedrooms and one smaller one at the back of the house (belonging once to a servant I think!). It's on a quiet road and you can walk downhill into Totnes in around 10 minutes. There are lovely views of the surrounding area. The host is very friendly and accommodating. The only thing to be aware of is the very steep drive.

    “Fantastic House”

    We stayed for a long weekend with family. There was a small technical hitch initially, which was very quickly resolved by the housekeeper.
    The house is very large and the double / king beds are very comfy. Ample bathroom facilities.
    The house was warm and there was plenty of hot water.
    Nice garden with a little verandah you can sit under.
    If you want a house with character, then stay here! Was within walking distance of the lovely town centre with its wonderful range of shops.
    We would definitively go back!
