On a walk to the castle we stopped for a coffee and hot cross bun. Lovely and clean with a nice range of lunches and cakes. With a lovely view of the castle right next the cafe I would highly recommend.

Food looked nice and drinks were good however service not great. Very slow and inattentive. A nice venue and conveniently located.

I have had several coffees and a few meals in the cafe,it is reasonably priced and offers good service. The setting is lovely with Berry Castle outside the front door. In winter it only open at the weekend but from Easter it is open every day ( I think )

We have been here several times and enjoyed some very good French Marseille Fish Soup and buckwheat savoury pancakes. They were very good but we have happily found out that the couple who used to run this has now opened a new restaurant of
their own in Totnes, itself known as Mon Oncle Jean. We have been to their new restaurant at Ticklemore Street in Totnes and enjoyed a really great lunch and will head back there for dinner and Sunday roast (French style) soon. I highly recommend their French fish soup.

Really I want to review the Castle Cafe which is situated on the castle grounds. We visited here on Sun 29 Oct whilst staying in Totnes. This was our second visit having been a year ago. The staff here are all very kind & pleasant & the cafe is clean & cosy with toilets nearby. We had a small snack of chips with our coffees. The cafe does have soya milk which is fantastic as my wife has a gluten & dairy free diet. The castle itself is a great place to visit. We walked here from Totnes & it makes for a good afternoon out. We will more than likely visit again when we are on our next holiday in Totnes.
