Very enjoyable stay, comfy bed and great location! Very pretty views and walks from the east cliff which is accessible to all amenities within 10 minutes or so. I would highly recommend the Suncliff and Bournemouth for a relaxing mini-break!

A group of 16 ladies stayed here at the start of April. Upon arrival to the hotel it was clean and modern looking, we had all paid up front for our rooms but when filling out our room paperwork we were told that each of us was to pay £100 deposit that's per person! All down to the fact that we were a Hen Party (all in our late 20's early 30's so not immature children). The hotel were insistent on this deposit.... Even though there was no mention of any type of deposit in our paperwork!
After finally getting into our rooms I was disappointed, the furniture and decor is very very dated. The room was like a sweat box and I was unable to keep the window open as beneath it was a staff entrance or break area where people were noisy and smoking.
The bed was so noisy and very hard... Almost like a camp bed! Very uncomfortable.
When we got back from our dinner in town we decided to relax in the lobby/bar area having been chatting between ourselves we were told by a member of management to be 'quiet and keep it down' however we were not the only people there and were by far not the noisy party! He was rude and blunt in his manner.
The one and only good thing was the breakfast!
My shower leaked across the bathroom floor and was gunky and dusty in the window above the shower head.
The walls paper thin and anyone walking down the corridor could be heard and with the ramdom knocking at our doors at 3am noone slept well.
One of our party was also scolded by their shower....
All in all do not stay here if you expect a good night's sleep or of you ate part of any sort of group..... NOT GOOD!!

Dear Kasey,

Thank you for taking your time to write a review about your stay at our hotel. I am sorry to hear that your experience was not enjoyable, however as you know, our team did everything to make it right for you. The deposit for a group bond was clearly explained on your contract and unfortunately, it is down to a third party company that you booked through to explain all the procedures. Our apologies that you were not happy with the rooms - I am sorry to say but if the customer is not satisfied, he/she can mention the issues to the front desk, especially if you are staying for 2 nights, however nothing was reported from you group during your stay and at the departure. All our rooms are different and I am sure that we could have found suitable accommodation for you. I am surprised to hear that one of our managers was rude - all our staff are always praised for the best customer service and I can only apologise on behalf of my team. I would be really happy to offer you a nice room and rate should you ever in the area again as well as personally look after your reservation to make sure we make it right for you next time. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly should you wish to give us another chance.

Kindest Regards

We stayed for two nights in a room with a sea view and balcony. The room was clean and very comfortable, although it does need some updating. The balcony was lovely to sit outside with a drink and take in the stunning views. We enjoyed all the meals we had here and was particularly impressed with the range of gluten free options available. Bournemouth shops, pier and restaurants all within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

Great location excellent restaurant staff & food. Would had been an excellent stay if we could have been able to have the upgrade to the pent house rooms from the first day. We stayed 6 nights & spend the last 2 nights in the William one of the pent house rooms. Beautiful sea views, will return & will make sure I book the upgrade from the beginning, it's really worth it.

Room tip: 1st room was reasonably cleaned with nice sea views & balcony but no comparison the the pent house rooms on the top floor.
