“Third visit and will be back soon!”
Reviewed 25 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Our third visit and again excellent. Lovely large comfortable house with such beautiful walks from the door - no need to use the car if you are walkers but if not, a regular bus runs directly to Southwold.
The whole area is a delight.
Also great to brush up the table tennis skills back at the house.
We will come back again without any doubt.

“An ideal holiday home for a large family group”
Reviewed 20 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This large, modern property has every amenity for a comfortable stay. It is well located about 1.5 miles from Southwold Pier and we enjoyed the walk there and back which can be achieved entirely on footpaths across the heath and then coastal marshes (takes a little finding at first - exit from the side of the square!). There is plenty to do in the area -we especially recommend Africa Alive, Minsmere, Dunwich Heath and Languard Peninsula as well as Southwold with its pier, beach and river estuary. the owners were helpful but not intrusive. Our family loved the space, the table tennis table and the wi-fi! We were able to do all our own catering with the plentiful kitchen equipment but also enjoyed an excellent Chinese takeaway from Wrentham. A quiet and peaceful location but with all facilities easily accessible.

We stayed here with three generations of family and all of us had a superb time. The property is easy to locate and is on a lovely quiet stretch of road on the approach to Southwold. It is about a 25 minute stroll into the town itself. The property is well maintained with a very spacious layout. Our room has en suite and plenty of room for my wife and I plus our son and the cot for him. The kitchen is fab, plenty of space for us all to congregate each night and eat together. We also enjoyed watching the World Cup coverage in the comfy lounge (although the ladies grumbled a bit!). The gardens a also spacious and better weather would have seen us dine al fresco I think. We made good use of the table tennis equipment in the garage too, another nice addition to the impressive facilities. All in all a truly splendid place to stay, perfect for parties like ours with a fair few folks staying.

We have rented many holiday properties but this was the best ever. Our party of 9 (children and grandchildren) could not have had better accommodation. The house was so spacious and was equipped to a very high standard with everything we could possibly need for a holiday stay. Convenient quiet location within walking distance of the seaside and also accessible for inland Suffolk. Lots of helpful information from the owner who has obviously given much thought to the comfort and convenience of his guests. A superb enclosed garden, ideal for children, and an enormous dining kitchen. A comfortable lounge and spacious en-suite bedrooms make this the ideal choice for a family holiday. I cannot reccomend it too highly.

“Great location, nice house for a large family”

We enjoyed our stay in milkwood, the large enclosed garden was fantastic for our toddler to potter around in, the house was a good size and well equipped. Lacked a bit of decor that would have made it feel more homely and the beds weren't the most comfortable but that's a very personal thing anyway, neither of which greatly impacted on the holiday.
