We booked the superior room which was big enough, very clean, hot shower able to hang our clothes up (not a lot as only a weekend) but no wardrobe was not an issue. Very friendly and helpful staff and really good breakfast and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We did leave something behind in the room which they kindly posted on to us.

This area is 'lively' with bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms at the back but are adequate. Superior room at the front larger. Good location for pier, town centre and buses.

If you stay here do not expect to be wowed...the room we had cost £171 for two midweek nights but was only worth £50 a night at most. A double room but only one bedside table with a pointless ugly plastic see through chair in it that you could not cal!

The Grand Pier is in a side street from the sea front with easy walking access to the shopping areas, bars , restaurants etc . Parking is an issue . Find somewhere that is indicated as C and collect permit(s) from the Hotel as you check in - £10 for 24 hours . The Hotel itself looks like it needs a wash and brush up - dusty and a bit dirty but then so do all the others on the street . Inside , bright and clean. Host Rick(owner ?) very friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a luxury room as we read on here that standards were small. Goodness knows therefore what they are like as the luxury wasnt very big either. Bed, linen, bathroom good. Chairs both dirty and stained and window and beneath was in a very poor state of decoration. No where except top of chest of drawers or chairs to put bags to unpack etc. Nowhere in bathroom for washbags. No wardrobe - just clothes rack. Room was hot despite the radiators being turned off and the window only opened a little way . Be aware this street is busy , especially at night and take earplugs. Lots of people making noise until 5am. Then the seagulls start! Obviously, not to do with Hotel - its Brighton and is like that everywhere I should think . Breakfast was ok - not extensive but good . Cereal, bananas full english. . Only issue is breakfast area too small so when we went down there was no room for us and we had to go back to our room and wait . ravel regularly and that was a first . We were offered breakfast in our room but that would have been uncomfortable as the room isnt set up to do that. About 14 -16 guests whilst we were there but space for max 10 and that would have been very cosy! . Hours 8am to 10 but as not advised of pressure on timings everybody seemed to arrive around 9am. Would I stay again - possibly but would look elsewhere first.

Room Tip: Go for the luxury rooms

We arrived to Brighton not knowing it was a long weekend in UK, so it was very busy. Our Host Rosie was welcoming and very helpful. We were lucky to get a park right out front, which was £10 for 24 hrs.
Our room was up on the 5th floor (which was a climb by stairs with luggage) but most UK guest houses can be like this. It was very clean and light. We had a room facing the street and being the Sunday night of long weekend it was quiet noisy, it settled the following night.
Breakfast both mornings were superb and delicious. Rosie's staff are excellent and polite. The young gentleman was so helpful and obliging in doing us some scanning and emails also.
Thank you all.

Stayed here for one night. Very clean, had everything we needed. Shower was great. Had full English breakfast which was delicious. Nothing was to much trouble. Could see the sea from our room. Fully recommended will definitely stay here again.
