We had a take-away dinner here which included Onion Bhaji and Chicken Pakora to start, followed by Lamb Madras, Chicken Jalfrezi and King Prawn Tikka Masala, accompanied by Naan breads. The flavours were okay, but the spice levels were not very good for the Madras, and the King Prawn Tikka Masala, was wrong when it arrived with Chicken and no prawns, even though it had King Prawn written on the lid! I was disappointed and would probably look elsewhere for a curry.

Not suitable for Tall people. Is truly excellent Tandoori, maybe the best in sussex. The parking is a bit of a challenge. Can be noisy. All sorts of people in there (some very loud and unattractive), good for family visits or special nights out. Not very accessible friendly. If you like your curry you have to visit here.

The food here is delicious and flavoursome. The setting of a traditional English cottage is a nice twist for the Indian restaurant. The service is always attentive and helpful!

Would recommend!

Visited this restaurant in quaint little village of patcham as a party of 7 on the eve of my sisters wedding. Our party included children age 5,7 and 9. Immediately made to feel welcome the service we received was 2nd to none. The waiters doted on the children, making animals etc from napkins, chatting and taking a genuine interest ( plus providing a few extra a sneaky chocolates).
The food was delicious, possibly could have been a bit hotter ( in spice level) but my husband and i are partial to very hot food! All arrived quickly and was piping hot, all in all a really lovely dining experience which had the added entertainment "wow" factor

We have been regulars for many years and have always understood that service in this restaurant is pretty slow but the food is well worth the wait. Sadly on our last visit, a member of staff, who I had not encountered before, was extremely rude, if not slightly aggressive. The restaurant was obviously either under staffed or over booked and one member of staff was stressed. We were left waiting nearly 45 minutes before our order was even taken and was told , none too politely, by the waiter that they were busy and we would have to just have to wait until they were ready to take the order, which they finally did after an hour. We would have left had we not been treating a friend who was on a flying visit and we didn"t want to cause a fuss or waste time looking for an alternative restaraunt. It was quite embarrassing really. Sad to say that following this experience, we will give the Elizabethan a miss for a good while despite it being our local restaurant. Hopefully the service may improve in the future. In the meantime we will go farther afield for our curry.
