We booked our table for Friday the 22nd of September. We were delayed on our way to Brighton and had to cancel at the last minute. This was not a problem for the restaurant and they were more than happy to rebook us for the following evening.
Our meal on the Saturday was all we wanted it to be. The food was excellent as was the service from the friendly and attentive staff.
Will definitely visit again on our next visit.

Thank Chris C

Great little restaurant, with a wonderful menu and some nice wines.
managed a 3 course meal and wine and it was beautiful.
Staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble and happy to assist in explaining which wines went with each meal.
Gnocchi with three cheese is to die for

I recently reviewed this restaurant with an honest review, but the owner responded with a rude and untrue reply. There was NO finger bowl supplied with the prawn dish. (Something which you expect when eating king prawns) there was absolutely NOT a birthday banner on the table that we asked to move from. If there were we would have seen it.
I am most certainly not against people enjoying themselves, but we were crammed in, couldn't hear ourselves speak, and my little girl was knocked twice. We were not rude in any way, but simply requested to move table. We did NOT get offered black pepper and other guests orders were taken before us even though they had arrived afterwards. I had to ask twice for tap water, and we WERE charged for bread and olives we did not ask for.
Food was very mediocre. Poor service and service charge was added even though there were only 4 of us.
I have written many reviews on ta, some good some bad, but all of them are honest.

Nice helpful staff, a pleasant environment and tasty Italian food with no pizza in evidence. The house wine wasn't great either white or red but the food was really good. The service was excellent and portions generous but not silly.

We had the most amazing meals tonight. We were actually sad that we couldn't finish our meals - they were so delicious. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. After not being able to finish our fantastic meals, we ordered a couple desserts to share - creme brûlée and tiramisu - absolutely over the top. Don't miss the opportunity to dine at Casalingo. You will not be disappointed!
