Beauport Holiday Park - Park Holidays UK

We booked a gold plus lodge online, was a bit apprehensive about staying at this camp due to previous reviews but was pleasantly suprised.

The lodge was gorgeous and our friends were envious, as they had managed only to book a gold plus caravan which looked more like a silver, but was ample and clean.

The lodge seemed to be an owners one so had very high quality furnishings, a better kitchen and dishwasher than i have at home, had all the little extras in the lodge. A lovely new big flat screen tv, dvd comfortable sofas etc. The lodge had 2 bedrooms one with a walk in wardrobe and en suite toliet bathroom and shower. Also had another shower room and toliet as well.

So impressed with the lodge, had everything in it from washing up liquid to dishwasher tablets etc and very good quality pots pans glasses etc.Used our own washing up liquid still as didn't want to use the owners stuff.

The park was an owners one up until recently, the owners we spoke to were very friendly and approachable.

We had beautiful weather, so took a trip down to Hastings beach just down the road, they also have a great town center. If bad weather they have a cinema and lots of places to visit and see. In the lodge they have a folder to show of all the things to visit in the area etc.

The outside pool is tiny, but warm and clean. If the pool got to busy they give you a wristband so you can stay for an hour and half. We didn't stay an longer than that, you could always go back later. They also have a gym next to the pool which we didn't use.

The club house restaurant was ample and had entertainment on which was fine and my son loved the magician on the first night and the usual rabbit entertainment on the Saturday.

The park is a very quiet one and so peaceful of a night just what i love. It is a very low key park, can see the negative of this would be if rained wouldn't really be much to do on this park. Also the park is so steep in places, i would imagine it to be a nightmare if it rained a lot or was icey, no chance of getting up some of the roads. Also would be a mission if you wanted to walk up to the clubhouse in the evening. Husband whos a personal trainer would have been happy to do but not for me.

I really had a great time at this park the staff were really friendly and seemed it seemed to be a very clean well kept place. The owners take great pride in there places and the park.

The only one negative for me, was that the cigarette bin on the veranda had what seemed a whole year worth of fag buts in it, where it seemed it hadn't been cleaned out and also the bathroom bin wasn't clean and the covers in the wardrobe were filthy.
But to be honest this didn't bother me and to be honest i am sure if i had mentioned they would have be cleaned without any trouble at all. The lodge is so big with so many bins and places to clean, that i felt the cleaner still done a fairly good job as everything was spotless, the windows from the bed sheets to the shower.

The best park resorts uk place i have stayed before, would stay again in a lodge.

Firstly, we have booked through Hoseasons on many occasions over a number of years. The first caravan we were given was atrocious, dirty and reeked of old animals. The second caravan we were expected to enjoy our holiday in was of poor quality and had mouldy bedding! The third caravan was cleaner, but had an over-powering dog/cat odour and mould on the master bedroom walls. We had travelled for 7 hrs to get there so accepted this. The lady on reception was pleasant and even gave us £60 vouchers for the park (and air freshener!), however we do not expect, unless clearly stated prior to booking, to stay in such awful accommodation.
It is a shame as the site itself had many clean caravans, was very quiet and peaceful, and facilities were fine too.

This was a 'cut the coupon' short getaway holiday but we were VERY pleased with the accommodation. Loved the fact that the caravan was located in woodland, felt more personal than row-upon-row of caravans. Looked like the interior had been newly refurbished - new looking kitchen units, new fridge, microwave etc and lovely and clean. Bathroom well laid out and clean too. As Summer hadn't quite yet arrived, we had the gas fire on low and it kept it warm. TV only had 4 channels but it was okay, we spent time relaxing inside and out. The whole caravan was lovely and clean, which was appreciated.

Did some sightseeing to the local sights like Hastings Castle and went to the beach with a ride up the mountain in a Funicular train. Enjoyed some lovely fresh seafood followed by fresh fish and chips, lovely. Also went to a winery and sampled some of the locally produced wines. All in all, for a cheap getaway it was very impressive and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We arrived to an unfriendly welcome and proceeded to see what was on offer at the site. Oh dear I thought, what have I done to my family. The caravan smelt like it hadn't been aired for months with mould on the curtains. The drainage hole on the drainer was caked it black furry mould. There was cigarette buts all outside on the floor just outside the caravan and some litter. The caravan was falling apart too. The car parking space was extremly uneven too.

They say a woodland setting, hmm maybe they should have a look at a real wood and not just an overgrown garden. There are permanent residents living here. In the morning they all drove their vans past our caravan at high speed with their scrap metal piled up high. The country club is a cheap tacky pub with cheap food and bingo bingo bingo. No children's entertainment was really put on, except a great magic show, which my children enjoyed.

The swimming pool was well looked after and the lifeguards were really friendly and very helpful too. Just a shame about the few people that constantly swore whilst shouting at each other from either end of the pool. Oh and the constant aroma of cigarette smoke drifting in.

At the end of the day, this place needs to be made into a residential mobile home park and not be calling itself a holiday park. Oh and another thing, we wiped our feet on the way out.
