Really friendly staff. Traditional English feel to the pub and warm & cozy on a miserable rainy day.

Loved the ambience of the pub. Great selection of drinks. Obviously a pub for the locals. Food was average.. not great but not bad either. Generous portions.

We alway’s make a special detour to Stow in the Wold on our way home to Wales, one of the main reasons is to have lunch at the Queens Head. The pub is a charming olde worldly type of place and is always very welcoming. On Sunday my wife and I both had the roast beef dinner which was absolutely delicious in every way, this was followed by their bread & butter pudding which was scrumptious! The service was very efficient and prompt. The pub allows dogs in, and some of the customers chose to have a meal with their dog sitting beside the table, whilst others sat beside their master in the bar.

To conclude, we can thoroughly recommend this establishment for its good food, good beer and good service. Looking forward to our next visit.

Really friendly staff and nice rooms. We had an excellent lunch and breakfast. Well kept beer. Few half cut locals late at night got a bit annoying ! Would return and recommend.

What a shame that this establishment has changed hands.
Whilst eating our Sunday lunch with friends six of us in all, we were not asked if everything was alright: I wonder why ? (We had frequented this establishment many times over the years and had always received excellent service.) Actually I did not have to wonder for very long as the meal was not up to the usual standard. Tough beef which was leathery although rare and luke warm veg was not my idea of a delicious Sunday treat. I was embarrassed when one of my friends complained to the waitress and her only sign of having heard was to giggle and walk away.
Needless to say, we will not return.
