Also including the National Museum Royal Navy Portsmouth, Action Stations, the Harbour Tours, andd the Jutland Exhibition, there's plenty to see and do. I visited the museum for the first time on over 20 years so that I could see the Mary Rose in her new museum. You can buy an individual ticket for a single exhibit or an all in ticket which allows access to all ships as well as the museums, harbour tour and the submarine museum. There is a lot to see but the all inclusive ticket gives entry for a year so you can go back and visit anything you missed the first time.

Firstly ive got to mention that this is my sort of place....if i could i would have ditched the wife and kids and visited alone for 3 days!!! Warrior and Victory are fascinating even to a non-historical person, i don’t believe there is any other museum experience like this in the world. Standing and contemplating the stunning image of Hms Victory and the 65000 tonne aircraft carrier Hms Queen Elizabeth in the same eyeshot renewed my pride in Britain ( which was flagging just a little). I know even my wife and mum were interested in the historical (mum bought us to Mary Rose when we were kids). My kids are young (4 and 2) but the tours were just right to keep them occupied at exploring. The annual pass is cheap and i will certainly be revisiting this year!!

Historic Dockyard is an ok place to visit, although you now have to pay an entrance fee just to go in and have a wonder round which had spoiled it.

Dear Busbylewis,

Thank you for your feedback. It is still free to generally wander around the site if you are not visiting the attractions. You can visit the shops and cafés this way as well. On arrival, you just need to pick up a free site access ticket to wander in.

Kind Regards,
VE Team
