Can't recommend this place highly enough - a group of us shared the breakfast platters for my birthday the other week and we were all blown away. Amazing pastries, breads, cheeses, french toasts, chutneys, creme brulee - all fabulous, and served in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Support local independent businesses :-)

Loved it! The waiter explained every cheese including where it came from. A wonderful selection. A real treat of an evening. Definitely returning!

We are so glad you did enjoy your first experience at Cheese & Cheers. Next time come and try our fantastic cheese fondue or raclette or at lunch time from Wednesday to Friday we have a very good cheese deal for just £6.20 (3 cheeses of our selection, deli meat and white baguette). See you again.

Chance visit Saturday lunchtime - we had soup (1 lentil and Brie, and 1 celeriac, walnut and Roquefort) and shared blue cheese and caramelised apple fill parcel. All delicious, with great service. Will go there again!

This has a genuine continental feel. I'm probably not the best person to review as I don't drink wine and I have to avoid cheese for health reasons. However, I do ocassionally indulge as I love it so much and the selection on offer was not disappointing.

Had an early lunch on a Friday and it was very quiet. Had parsnip soup and onion soup. Both good. The onion soup was full size and it had loads of cheese and bread on top. The smaller parsnip soup was ordered as part of a special that included a crème brûlée as a pudding. The pudding was okay, but it was a strange combination and I wouldn't have that again. We also had a baked dipping cheese with herbs and nuts as well as the crispy apple and blue cheese parcels. These were good to share.
The food generally had a homemade feel about it. The soup was fantastic and I would go for the full portion next time.
You really do need to be a big cheese fan to get the most out of this place. Our waiter was super and helped us get our heads around the menu. Will return to try some other dishes.

Thank James C

Hi James, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. You had the £6.20 lunch deal including whether our selection of 3 cheeses and deli meat OR a small seasonal soup which was on this day a parsnip soup, it could be any other soup. Main and desserts don't have to combine essentially when it's such a cheap deal. Everything is home made and our creme brulee is very popular, sorry to hear that was not really to your liking. You are right this place is for people who like authentic cheese as everything is based on cheese. We hope to see you again for a different experience.
