Four adults and one five year old Grandson, we went to the Festival of Steam there today, once again not disappointed, great day out.

Plenty of parking, interesting old fairground rides, and a fantastic variety of old cars, motorcycles, steam vehicles and buses etc.

Good food facilities, and everything well organised and presented.

Well done to the Dockyard for another great day out, for all age groups.

Will definitely be back this and further years.

10 out of 10..!!!

Alex.

Visited the dockyard on the weekend of the steam fair; what a great day. We visited the rookery which is a must. The ships and submarines were very interesting. Would highly recommend a day at Chatham, especially if there is an event on.

Having never visited the dockyard I must say there is loads to see and do and the price is perfectly matched to what you can do, it appears to have been renovated recently with friendly staff and a nice cafe/restaurant. Tours of the ships and submarine are available as well as a historic tour about how ships like The Victory were built (no spoilers promise).

A friendly and fun day out.

Staff are brilliant and help you plan the day to suit your tastes. Just so much to see and even great for a rainy day. The ticket covers you for a whole year so you can return if you don't fit everything in a day. We went on a cold rainy day and still plenty to do indoors. My favourite was the ropery.

This place is my most favourite ever. Not only do you get to immerse yourself in centuries of history, every time I go I learn something new. Most exhibits are inside or under cover so it's no matter about the weather. My only down point is it's shut over the winter. A brilliant day out for young and old
