We visited this very different, tea room/ art gallery,on a Voucher,it cost just£12.00 for both of us! Now,be warned,if you are disabled,it is not for wheelchair users, but taking it slowly,I managed the four flights of stairs to get there! It was well worth the effort! We were seated on lovely comfy sofas and chairs, with a panoramic view of the river, white swans bobbing on the water were really picture worthy! We were served very quickly with a generous tea pot of tea and after not too long our food arrived. Served on a traditional cake stand, with sandwiches on the bottom, cakes in the middle and scones and cream and jam on top. Your typical afternoon tea! My husband was served with a separate plate of vegetarian sandwiches. My selection, was smoked salmon and cream cheese, chopped ham and mustard, egg and mayonnaise ,in various breads, obviously freshly made, served personally by the chef! The scones were equally fresh and really lovely, and the cakes were coffee and walnut, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie. Delicious! It was very relaxing, with good friendly service, one could also meander round the copious amount of surprisingly good work! Which made this a very pleasant Sunday afternoon. I would heartily recommend that you give it a try. There are lots of other selections, but you need to book afternoon tea in advance.
They also have music, book clubs etc. So a very " happening" place

We went in for a hot chocolate:)
Took ages to
Make. Thought he had gone to melt a few chocolate bars down!!
When it came it was nice but cold!!
Didn't complain as we didn't have time to wait for another two!
Nice little place but expensive for cakes /snacks.
Need more staff

I took my friend there on a voucher. We loved the pot of tea, served straight
away while while we waited for our afternoon tea to arrive. We were happy
with the sandwiches, the home made cakes, and the scones which were to
die for. We were provided with more fresh tea, hot water and the staff are
friendly, polite, and very helpful. A lovely space to look out on the Medway
and enjoy the ambiance. Don't judge this by the outer building which is more
like and office. There is a gallery inside to. Recommend a visit.

Had Afternoon tea here today with a friend. The views are stunning from the windows and we were seated on the comfty seats looking out over the River Medway. Lots of sandwiches followed by homemade scones and cakes. The place is also an art gallery. A peaceful Haven in a busy town.

This was my first tearoom experience and it wasn't disappointing. The cakes and sandwiches went down a treat, and the tea was of good quality too.

The decor was simple too with no dress code.

My only complaint however is that customers should have the option of topping up their pot of tea once the first serving goes cold.

All in all it was a lovely afternoon's tea.

Thank Lord M
