Pencester Gardens, a short walk from the centre of Dover, should be an Oasis in the centre of the Town. Although it has the redeeming feature of the river running along one side, a good view of Dover Castle and St Mary' Church, it is all spoiled by the debris strewn throughout the gardens, along with rubbish in the river. Often frequented by the local drop-outs. Time the Dover Council took pride in what could be a gem.

Don't waste you time - It is a small green area in central Dover, kids playground, sometimes putting but not worth going out of you way!

Coming from London, Pencester Gardens is relatively small in comparison. However, you can clearly see Dover Castle from the park, there is a bandstand which hosts a few annual events, a childrens well equipped play area and a skate park.

Nice river running down one side with added Art Deco mattress and beer cans thrown in for good luck. Yes! I'm serious.
Most of this stuff is from homeless drinkers and drug takers. Although a lot of general rubbish from kids and family's.
I've seen way worse parks so I gave it an average score. And it is a nice river.
A park and you can't even let your dog off its lead ! Yes I'm serious about that too.
More aggressive humans than dogs.

Only a small park in the middle if Dover Town. You can enter from the main bus and coach area, walk through and come out the other end of town. There are 2 play areas on one side, children's playground and a larger kids skate/bike area. The river runs along the other end with a small bandstand and benches
