Relaxing place, by the Dour river, with clear waters, big fishes, ducks, and other birds, with a nice place for children to play, with a skating place, and a very interesting time scale engraved in stones on the ground regarding the history of Dover town since the Romans to the present. Also a large place for different events, such as concerts, exhibits, hunting eagles demonstrations, and so on... However there may be some kids smoking (not just cigarettes) and being rude (not fun if you're with kids) and some adults drinking near the bus stop. May be improved with increased patrols.

Such a pity, this public open space could be so much more better. It could be improved with the introduction of flower beds, shelters, public sculpture, a water feature, a small refreshment kiosk. Instead, it is just a boring open area of poor grass and hard-surfaced pathways.

Dover Town Council, please apply for a grant to turn this key open space into something that residents and visitors can enjoy and relax in. It has such potential and could become a gem for Dover and pride for People.

Pencester Gardens, a short walk from the centre of Dover, should be an Oasis in the centre of the Town. Although it has the redeeming feature of the river running along one side, a good view of Dover Castle and St Mary' Church, it is all spoiled by the debris strewn throughout the gardens, along with rubbish in the river. Often frequented by the local drop-outs. Time the Dover Council took pride in what could be a gem.

Don't waste you time - It is a small green area in central Dover, kids playground, sometimes putting but not worth going out of you way!

Coming from London, Pencester Gardens is relatively small in comparison. However, you can clearly see Dover Castle from the park, there is a bandstand which hosts a few annual events, a childrens well equipped play area and a skate park.
