This was our base for a National Holidays Easter Break, Diane & I found the place a little tired, in need of refurbishment. On both nights we were kept awake by thumping bass from a nearby club and sirens from the local ambulance station, this in addition to a constantly dripping cistern! We dined on the first night and were not impressed (although breakfasts were superb) - to the extent that we forewent the dinner the next day in favour of Wetherspoons. Speaking with other guests on departure, our experience wasn't unique.

My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary here... they had a room for the night and the function room for a party.
The room was immaculately clean with everything they needed for a nights stay.
The function room was big and the service was exceptional.. all the staff could not do enough to help. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was plenty of food which was nice and hot and very tasty. Overall a fantastic night and would definately recommend the hotel

Another try to see if things have improved sorry to say not the case, yes very convenient for the City for tourists but, really needs a massive refurbishment as well as upgrading the breakfast to a suitable standard. Not a whinge but, fact eggs undercooked, black pudding was undercooked likewise sausage and bacon just poor quality, stop getting poor quality you charge enough. Will try again in 3 months then if no improvement will give it a complete miss

This 3star hotel had a good selection of amenities the rooms were a fair size with good on suit facilities . The staff were all very pleasant and the evening meal and breakfast were very good for the price we paid . The bar seemed well stocked and had two hand pulled drought beers on . The hotel is well situated for most things to see and do in Hull and is connected to both the railway and bus station's

Room Tip: Our room on the first floor was very quite 123 and had good access to the stairs and lifts

Hotel is dated but that’s ok, the room was basic with squeaky floorboards where ever you walked, the bed base had stains all over it, didn’t want to pull the sheets back to see what was underneath, shower door couldn’t close properly, shower had mouldy corners , breakfast was one of the worst, but only managed to get it, scrambled egg could bounce off the walls, bacon was like cardboard, sausages & beans was ok, hash browns was like trying to cut a brick

Overall- if your staying over night for a night out in Hull it ain’t that bad as the drink takes your mind off it
