Stayed here as a group of 12 for a hen do. It was amazing from start to finish. The rooms and grounds ate amazing and perfectly clean. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely personable. The location is excellent and the food is locally sourced and very tasty. A fantastic place that beats most hotels, I can't believe it is a Charity. I will be returning!

Great stay at Brathay Hall. The view from our room was fantastic. The room itself was small but with a very large extremely comfortable bed. Had a wonderful nights sleep. Great breakfast the next day as well. The only downside was the shower - very poor water pressure meant it was more of a trickle than a shower.
However I would defo recommend Brathay hall.

My friend and I come every year at this time for a walking and exploring weekend, we stay at Brathay hall each time, beautiful setting, fantastic accommodation and wonderful staff. The breakfasts are superb, full English with all the trimmings, just what's needed when you're climbing mountains and walking all day. Love the place and we'll be returning once again in 2018

Always judge a room by the comfort of the bed? then this room is 5 star. Add the stunning views and opportunity to see life in Breathy hall and what a lovely experience. The shower is a tight-isn fit, squeezed into the room, but rather a smaller shower because the huge bed was a delight. The rooms are extremely practical, just enough space to spread out but not so much that you lose things. The cooked breakfast was all that was needed but cereal and fruit as well, and all the usual offerings of toast, tea, coffee etc. Couldn't recommend it more for a couple on a short break to the delightful Lake District

Room Tip: Call the venue in advance and speak to the staff

Fabulous accommodation with stunning views.....and the lakes were breathtaking..!
At first I was disappointed not to be in Brathay Hall, but my lodge was beautiful and I woke up to an array of birdsong.

Room Tip: I had a lodge to the rear of Brathay Hall....it was fabulous.
