We really loved it a beautiful part of England. The house is situated right in the centre and was spacious and clean.
This house is very well equipped with modern equipment. It has fantastic views across the Lake District and is a 5 minute walk into Ambleside (down a very steep pathway), slightly longer on the way back ! The bedrooms are all a decent size, there is one on the first floor and two on the second floor. Non are en-suite but there are 2 bathrooms on the first floor one with a shower and one with a bath. The WiFi is good on the ground and first floor. There is a lovely garden out back which would be nice in the summer I’d imagine. The price was very good in comparison to other similar properties. The downsides to this property would be the parking, with only enough space for one car directly outside the house, although you may be able to park along the road or failing that there are long stay car parking in the town. Also this isn’t suitable for disabled or anyone with difficulty walking in my opinion. The shower also has low pressure which was disappointing. Overall though a nice place to stay.
Lodging is spotlessly clean, has three bedrooms and a bathrooms and a shower room. The bedrooms are at the first and second floors and need to be accessed through steep narrow stairs. At ground level there is a sitting room and a kitchen and toilets have to accessed at the first floor.
High View number 4 is close to shops through a steep hill and a narrow parking space is available in front of the house.
The house was spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable. Lovely views from the front bedrooms. Very convenient for the centre of Ambleside (though up a very steep hill). The internal stairs are very steep and so the house may be less suitable for young children or older/ disabled guests.
There is a marked parking space outside the house - the road is narrow, so very large cars may cause a problem.
Our only slight negative comment is that the shower pressure is low.
