Also a good place to do work & think! Newspapers available but the coffee is still the best in town. Leisurely time spent here & staff remember your favourite drink before asking!

I’ve been here a few times to buy cakes for an elderly relative. A nice selection is available and all of them are lovely and reasonably priced.
The place is tucked away down a little side street but well worth a visit

I guess the clue is in the name - they serve very good coffee.

The food is good too and the warm scones with brie and chutney are very nice for a light lunch. They do very good bread.

It is a relaxed place to stop with a good selection of newspapers.

There are tables on the ground and upper floors and the ground floor is dog friendly.

Friday evenings at The Coffee Kitchen are quite magical.

The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed, and the usual daytime menu changes to offer various hand made pizzas. They are utterly phenomenal - think of the lightest base, the right amount of crispness in the crust, the fusion of flavours in the topping... you will not be disappointed!

Couple that with some truly lovely people looking after you and a selection of Cumbria's finest brewery beers - there is no better start to the weekend :)

Food and drinks were nice, unusually selling white tea. Nice friendly service, unfortunately let down by not clearing the table of some of the crockery of the previous diners and not cleaning the table. Some of the other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked very appetising as well.

Thank Ian P
