The garden and grounds are beautiful! The colours in the garden were fantastic!

The staff and gardeners were very friendly. A Halloween activity was put on for the children too.

Lovely morning so decided to visit Sizergh Castle we arrived about 10.30am and because the car park was filling up thought we would have coffee and a snack before going around the gardens coffee was lovely as was the fruit scone also the cakes looked delicious unfortunately the bacon bun was very disappointing the bun was tough and cold the bacon looked good quality but it also was cold. I think a different type of bun and some way of keeping the bacon hot would be a good move.
The gardens were as usual delightful they were busy with families enjoying the Halloween trail so nice to see the children encouraged to visit,

Took an early tour of the castle and the guide (young guy with glasses and a funky black shirt) was great. He was so theatrical and enthusiastic you couldn't help but get caught up in his stories. Lovely castle and plenty to see - the wood panelled room is breathtaking. Well worth a visit. Great cafe and shop. We didn't have time to go around the gardens but from what I saw that looks like another half a day well spent.

Nice house and grounds for a walk, bit expensive for what is really a house and not a castle, plenty of parking, large grounds to have a walk round

This is a NT property well worth a visit if you are nearby. It is only 10-15 minutes from the M6 and access is easy on a private drive with plenty of parking. There are guided tours to the house in the mornings but otherwise there is free access during opening times. There are many rooms to view with some excellent pieces of furniture, art works and objets d'art. The room guides were very helpful and knowledgeable aided by the extensive printed room guides. Some of the simplified data sheets were just that. There are extensive grounds and lovely garden to view when weather permits.
