We decided to have lunch in the Oddfellows Arms as it is a dog friendly establishment and we had our dog with us.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we ordered a large Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and vegetables and a large Yorkshire pudding with beef stew.

We also had a pint of Cumbrian and a soft drink and the bill came to £15.80 excellent value.

In better weather there is also a beer garden at the rear.

I have just spent a week walking some of the Lakeland Fells, basing myself in Keswick. Each evening I would look forward to my visit to The Oddfellows Arms. Friendly staff, good range of food at sensible prices. A great way to round off a day's walking. Very easy to find in the centre of Keswick. Highly recommended!

Just finding a decent place for a quick bite before the dinner crush, we popped into this pub about 5:00. Placed our order at the bar: Yorkshire pudding filled with beef stew and pork and veggies. Delicious Cumberland ale from the tap.

Shortly, the food appeared, and out wad a good thing we ordered when we did, as the mad crowd from Saturday's beer fest came pouring in shortly after.

The stew was very rich, with lots of root veggies and some, but not a lot of, beef. Too much to finish. Same for the pork plate, which had a thin slice of pork covered in carrots, peas, apple bits and new potatoes, with a thin gravy. Really nice flavors, typical pub grub.

When we left by the back door, we found at least 20 tables cascading down the hill, filled with beer fest folks, clearly enjoying the mild weather. A couple of then were even having something to eat.

The pub is great with lots of outdoor seating but it gets very busy mainly because the food is good with excellent service at a low price. The giant Yorkys are great filled with beef stew etc a good selection of ales means it has everything you need. Great place.
