We took our two babies, 3 years and 10 months for the Monday to Friday break just after half term. We had booked a refurbished lodge, and although the layout is unchanged the decor, furnishings and overall feel of the lodge was a significant improvement on the old style lodge.

The customer service from the staff across the site was excellent, special mentions to staff in the Pancake House and Parc Market who made us feel valued customers.

It would be helpful if the Parc Market could be open slightly later, the plan seems to be to shut everything down by 7pm to get people into the restaurants, but overall an superb break and we will be going back again.

Room Tip: If you want to be near to the main activity centres, book on the east side.

My third trip to Center Parcs and I was not disappointed. I very much enjoy the atmosphere, compared to the other sites, (have visited three) I'd say it has the best. We stayed in an apartment near the central lake, about five minutes walk from the pool/restaurants etc, an ideal location. It was extremely quiet, we were not bothered by neighbours or anything else for that matter.

Our apartment room itself was superb, completely gorgeous and so clean and well cared for. We actually arrived very early on the day and after loitering around near our apartment a member of staff saw to it that our apartment was ready by 2pm - over an hour before check in, which was lovely.

We came into contact with various members of staff on our trip, all of whom were good-natured, friendly and all round nice people with good attitudes

Food and facilities wise, we had lunch at one of the sandwich take away places a couple of times, and it was alright, your average fast food place. We did order out Chinese the second night we were there, and it was incredible, literally one of the best if not the best Chinese I've had. Lots of choice though, something for everyone.

The swimming pool was great, lacked the outdoor rapids which is something I always love Bout center parcs but fantastic pool otherwise. Very clean and not ever too busy which was a relief.

We also took part in a couple of activities which I wouldn't hesitate to say are fairly overpriced but still a lot of fun. One that stands out in particular is the laser combat, I can't stress enough how much fun this was! The instructor took to his job with such gusto it was impossible not to get stuck in too.

Overall, I would of course highly recommend a trip to center parcs, it's a great chance to get away from the real world for a while and be outdoorsy.

Just come back from a mid week break at Whinfell w/c 20th Feb, our first time visting Center Parcs. The place was full of people from Hull and East Yorkshire as our half term was different from most of the country and center parcs had not inflated the price, the reason for us booking, bonus!

On arrival queued for a hour to get checked in which was not great with a two year old in the back of the car.

The new style lodge was lovely, really modern and spacious and on the surface clean but under beds, sofa and sofa cushions dirty and full of clutter. Our dishwasher did not work but given we had already called housekeeping about the safe being locked, the bathroom sink not holding water and only one wine glass we did not feel we could complain anymore.

We mainly ate in but had a takeaway one night whic was fair but on the expensive side.
We still had a super break though, activites expensive but enjoyable and we would go back again for the right price.

I was very dissappointed by our latest trip to centre parcs, the Comfort plus accommodation was dirty and the appliances did not work or were broken.
The bed linen was clean however so crisp it woke you up every time you moved it was like having quilts of newspapers and the pillars were like rocks so you either woke with headache or ear ache or both.
The price of the activities had gone up yet again. we had planned on having guests come for the day but the daily entry fee has gone up from £16 per adult last year to £24 per adult and £17 per child this year - very uncomfortable call to our guests and cancelled plans!.
The food court prices were extremely bad, we bought 3 fast food meals - meal deals no less which came to £22.50 - for 3 meals!!
We went out for the evening to the pub quiz, but it was so packed and so hot you would have thought it was the height of summer, not February.
The only saving grace was the peace and tranquility of the forest, the visits from the woodland creatures who seemed to take a shine to my daughter as she managed to get them so comfortable around her she had red squirrels taking nuts from out of her hands- very cute to watch.
On reflection I think it will be our last visit to centre parcs - unless they review their prices and get better cleaners and update the accommodation to the 21st century.

Room Tip: You have to go for the best you can afford as the cheaper they are the lowest quality you recieve
