Arrived at the Ardern Hotel and was net by the owner Christine who was very friendly and extremely professional. Christine explained everything to fire alarms, breakfast times and checking out times even though there are notices in all rooms/areas. I thought this was ideal as if any one has reading disabilities they don't need to feel embarrassed to ask. The room we stayed in, although smaller than expected, had every amenity we needed. Cleanliness was exceptional. Breakfast was fantastic and both Christine and Francis waited on us for everything.
Location is ideal for all attractions. Approximately 10 minute walk from Winter Gardens and although no parking is availe on site, parking at Coral Island is only a couple of minutes walk away.
We will definitely stay here again due to the comfort and hospitality of both Christine and Francis (Doris and Trevor)

On arrival Christine was their to greet us and within seconds we felt very welcome. We was recommended some lovely places to eat to which we went to one and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
The room was small but very clean and very well decorated. Nothing was too much trouble and our breakfast was lovely with a lovely greeting yet again from Christine and Francis.
Being in the tourist industry and over 27 years of staying in hotels in Europe and Scandinavia as well as Britain I know a thing or two about standards and I would certainly have no hesitation in staying there again.
Looking forward to the next time

Steve and Sharon

Great central based hotel, literally around the corner from the tower, coral island, sea front.
Lovely 3 night stay. Very welcomed on our arrival by lovely owner Christine. Room was lovely very clean and tidy. Breakfast was great perfect to start the busy days off. Was given options of what to eat very accommodating to my 7 year old. Nothing was trouble. Great advice given on where to go,where to eat etc. Was a pleasure staying with Christine and my daughter was over the moon with her good manners certificate she was given on departure. Definitely stay again, Thank you

Firstly, very friendly and welcoming couple and the hotel is only a short walk from the sea front which is ideal. The family room was very nicely decorated, modern and spotlessly clean, the room however, is very light from the street lights outside. Although there is a plastic blind, the curtains are only light silk so could do with some blackout lining on them. The beds are modern and spacious with very comfy pillows, although we did find the mattresses quite hard so were a bit uncomfortable for us. There were also no toiletries provided, we hadn't brought any as we haven't come across this for many years, so we had to purchase some.
The cooked breakfast was lovely and hot, although again, this is the first place we have stayed in for sometime, that only offered just this and orange juice. We have found in other places, a selection of cereals and mixed juices and sometimes fruit are available as a help yourself, so you have a bit more choice and can fill up on other things that just the cooked food. We did have a lovely time, and couldn't fault the decor and cleanliness of the room, the food we had, and the friendliness of the hosts. However, at £190 for the room, plus £14 for car parking, we just felt it was a little expensive in comparison to other places we have stayed in and what they offer for a similar price or cheaper.

Thank you for taking the time to give feed back after your stay its very much appreciated. so happy you all loved the room and appreciated the cleanliness throughout .A few points you made 1st the light coming in thank you as I had not thought of that when I put the new blinds up so will address that ,2nd the beds they are both less then 6 months old and of medium firmness sorry you found them to hard for you I do also have soft and firm but when you did not specify I did not think it would be a problem, 3rd where I do not offer complementary toiletries un-like many others we do offer unlimiterd hot drinks facilities and breakfast choice we offer in excess of ten cereals to many to mention and I do advise all guests on checking in that there is a choice if I did not mention this please except my apoligy however I do have a menu on the table informing guests of choice available, when it comes to serving your self we prefer to offer table service so guests can relax and everything they require is brought to them this works best for us and we ask many time throughout your breakfast if you would like anything else .
When it comes to pricing we contantly compare our selfs to others and find for the quality of accomadation / service and location that is offered we are competitively priced and £190 for 3 dults for 2 nights including 6 cooked breakfasts is comparable with other establishments of a similar standard.
once again thank you so much for your feed back so glad you enjoyed your time at the Ardern hotel and Blackpool .
kind regards Christine.
