The hotel had welcoming and friendly staff. Very clean rooms and a great selection for breakfast of both hot and cold food. There was a well stocked bar area downstairs and two rooms overlooking the seafront to relax in. A good sized pool was available and their was plenty of free parking right outside the hotel

We stayed here for 6 nights to take in the illuminations and some shows and the Bedfords location offers a great position on the promenade to do this. This was one of the positives, however we were given a ground floor room which overlooked the sea and at first seemed perfect.Unfortunately on the 2nd night we found the walls are paper thin with a full scale row going on next door we could hear every swear word as clear as day and even worse was when my wife complained the next day a foreign gentleman on reception told her to be quiet! He did get the rowing couple moved to another part of the hotel although he said he was throwing them out,so that wasnt quite as promised which I think would have been more appropriate as we heard they had caused a scene in the bar on the same night.Overall it was a shame this marred our stay a little because the rest of the hotel staff especially Ashley were hard working and obliging in fact at breakfast which was very nice they were often over worked and could do with more help. Our room was cleaned everyday and the swimming pool is a nice selling point but this hotel could be a little gem if the decor and soundproofing were sorted out.

We were a party of 17 that stayed for 2 nights. The room was very clean but needs some TLC.No hooks for hanging on back of doors because they were broken but not replaced and the shelf above the sink would not hold anything as everything fell into the sink. The room you could hear a lot of noise from people just walking about , it felt like they were in the room with you.
Breakfast was a good choice but the service was extremely slow and they did not clear tables as people ate and left. Only one coffee machine which was emptied very quickly so you had to wait for it to be filled up and processed.
Dana on the front desk was very polite and friendly, he lend my friend his own personal hairdryer as she did not have one in her room and they didn`t have a spare. The staff we saw were friendly and helpful but they need more for breakfast time if only to clear used tables.
Would we stay here again- probably not if a B&B was available and not because of price but because of overall service.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the side we were woken up with the bins being filled and emptied (room 116-117-118 etc

Just got back from staying here for the 1st time . The rooms are clean the shower was nice and hot the rooms are not big , just enough if you just putting your head down at night . It does need a little TLC, BREAKFAST...well it was a bit of a let down no staff smiled we had to ask for service we just sat there ages . The food is hot but so tight on portions and cold toast our 2nd morning was more of a disaster no coffee again had to ask ...had to ask for toast .. lady took our order she got 2 breakfasts wrong my scrambled egg was full of eggshell to really put me off eating my food . Both mornings majority of tables were never cleared up ready for next customers it looked very un organised a couple of staff was showing the stress in there faces . If I stayed here again I.d skip brekkie
