I stayed with my mum and daughter while we were at the NATD Latin and Ballroom MOY finals. Helen and Rick couldn't have done more for us, they were amazing hosts. Fingers crossed that we qualify for next year and get the opportunity to return.

We stayed here last week, a twin and a single room, ideal location, literally just a minute or so walk to the Central Pier. We checked in, very warm welcome from Helen and showed to our rooms, absolutely spotlessly clean, beds comfortable, tea making facilities in the room. There is a nice bar area downstairs with plenty of choice of drinks, we had a full cooked breakfast in the morning which was great, we were offered additional toast and more tea. A great B & B at a very competitive price, we will be back later in the year for the illuminations, thank you very much for the warm welcome and great service.

I stayed in this hotel a few months ago and loved it so much so when it came to a little summer break for my husband and I, there was no second guessing: we were returning to Blackpool. Helen was the 'hostess with the mostess' and greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome. We had a different room to my last visit and it was absolutely beautiful, warm, cosy and pristine clean. In fact, I think I'll copy a few of the decorating ideas at home! Helen was a font of knowledge for what we could do and where we could go during the days and knew all the nicest places to dine out in day or night. The breakfast was delicious and Helen was able to cater for my dietary requirements whilst my husband enjoyed a full English fry-up. We went out and about every day and were delighted to be able to go out the door, walk to wherever we wanted to go without having t get buses or any means of transport to our destination and then come back in the evening and enjoy some drinks in the bar with other guests. The bar seemed to be well stocked from what I could see because every guest got what they asked for and it was very reasonably priced. We will definitely becoming back here again because we had a great time and it was great value for our money.

Room tip: Each room has a different coloured décor so I suggest looking at the photos of each room online to help choose your preference.

We chose the Bamford House because the rooms appeared a little more stylish than the usual B&B. On arrival, the room was as advertised, a small double, but adeqate for our stay of 2 nights. Helen the landlady had contacted us before and was ready to meet us on arrival. Very friendly. The room was spotless as was the ensuite. We had paid room only rates but breakfast was available if ordered the night before and the Full English was excellent for £5 a person. Her husband at the bar was friendly and helpful. They have a mini train set that runs round the bar at high level for a bit of unusual entertainment! The location is ideal - less than 5 minutes from the prom and Central Pier.

Room tip: Contact the hotel direct for choice of rooms
