We were welcomed to our booked table straight away.
We all ordered curried parsnip soup which was very nice apart from wedges of butter placed on the serving plates next to hot bowls so it melted - my friends didn’t realise they had butter for their bread so it left swimming pools of fat on the plate at the end of the first course.
Ordered lamb roast (£16.95) and was warned that it was medium rare - it certainly was and delicious. Friends had pork roast (£13.95) which was also very tasty and filling.
Very good, large Sunday lunch but pricy. Free chilled water already on the table which was a bonus.
Not too busy fir Easter Sunday but there were a couple of families with crying babies.
Very good prompt, cheerful service from all staff but they just need to stop saying, “No problem. Not a problem. No worries. Guys!!” as it is not respectful to older customers.
Will return for s special occasions as if us expensive.
