This was my second stay, my first was very disappointing with more than one service issue but I decided to give it a second chance.

Check in was smooth, the room had been upgraded which is something I appreciated as a diamond elite. Lounge access was added as per my reward wallet.

We found the room a decent size, a nice view and the AirCon and WiFi worked well. There were a few treats in the room which was also nice. Though it seems to be missing a fridge.

We went for a swim, this has to be booked but wasn’t too busy. After a while we went to the Exec lounge where a lovely staff member was setting up a fine spread of food.

Actually, it was really the best selection I’ve seen in many Crowne Plaza’s as well as plenty of crisps and fruit. There was Prosecco and spirits which I really appreciated.

It wasn’t too busy either, people came and went and it was pleasant to sit and enjoy a few drinks before going for a walk in the evening. The proximity to the docks is great and while I think there are better hotels in Liverpool this was quite perfect for my stay and I’ve been won over on my second visit.

Breakfast the next morning was great, we took it as our welcome amenity and although the restaurant is small it was a decent spread and staff were constantly topping things up.

Stayed here for two days earlier this month. First thing, there’s loads of parking but come on guys the cost is getting to the obscene level now. Add the cost to the room and it’ll be more palatable.
Anyway. The main area was nice bar and restaurant were nice.
The hotel is the next door neighbour to the Liver building and ten minutes from Albert Dock.
The room was small and lacked a fridge.
Staff were attentive enough but watch for the expensive drinks at the bar.
All in all a pleasant enough stay but there’s cheaper comparable hotels in close proximity

A lovely one night stay to celebrate a special birthday made so by the lovely people there, especially those on reception, most helpful and pleasant and the two lovely ladies serving at breakfast (tried to remember your names ?Claire and Theresa?) who had a pleasant word for all and smiled all the time, not easy on a breakfast shift!!?
