I love everything about the Brink. I'm really surprised to read that people didn't find the staff friendly, as whenever I've been in they've been lovely.
I went in for a Sunday roast and it was absolutely amazing! Really fresh, well cooked and the meat was gorgeous. I've never had a bad meal in the Brink and this was no exception. To top it off, it's half the price of a Sunday roast elsewhere. I recommend the Brink to everyone.

Popped in for a coffee, didn't find it very welcoming, found the woman who took my order somewhat surly. Didn't sample the food but the prices seem reasonable and the coffee was fine. But note that they charge 30p for a debit or credit card payment, irrespective of the amount spent. There was a mop and bucket left by the door with a step ladder and other bits. The entrance to what appears to be the only toilet is like passing through to school stock room with cupboards either side. I can see that it does have some appeal and kids are welcome. It reminded me of the students union bar. Personally I wouldn't go back, there are much better, friendlier and more welcoming places to stop off in. Staff need to try harder and be more personable!
