Brilliant Location

This hotel is a must for any Beatles enthusiasts brilliantly decked out all sorts of Beatle memorabilia and fantastic photos of the boys.
Once out the door take right and you are in Mathew St and the Cavern club, even if you are not a Beatles fan the hard days night could not be more central to all bars and restaurant's.
The hotel is well looked after and all the staff we encountered were great nothing was to much bother and all done with a smile on their faces, we stayed for five nights and could not complain about anything.
Due to covid there were some resections but nothing that had any affect on our stay
Id like to thank all the staff for making our stay a pleasant one
Cheers
Date of stay: July 2021
Room Tip: The back of the hotel can be noisy due to close proximity to the bars in Mathew St

What a complete letdown this visit was. We were allocated room 202 which was meant to be a deluxe room. It was really dark and dingy but as we arrived late we went straight out and decided not to complain. Getting back around midnight we couldn't believe the noise from Matthew Street...the deafening music went on into the early hours then at 0530 the din from below started again...beer barrels being loaded and the din of the hotel lift which sounded like a tube train in the room! At 6 my husband went to reception who said to come back at 7pm for a room change. When we came back we were told they'd been looking for us that morning...we were out...and they had already allocated rooms. After much deliberation we were allocated to room 125. In the hope of a night's sleep we took this smaller darker room and as we were left with the impression there was no alternative. After another terrible night's sleep, as we were even closer to the lift this time, I jumped into the shower this morning I found 2 used shower gels and black pubes on the tiled wall from the previous occupant! When I lifted the phone to complain it was covered in dust! At this point I gave up as we were leaving this morning anyhow. What a terrible experience. This was a Christmas present delayed terribly since Covid...a Hard Days Night is right! Home for a rest. Exhausted.

We stopped 3 nights, it should have been 2 but long amended booking story.

We thought for or anniversary we’d indulge at Hard days Night.
But failed to hit right note. I think Covid had spoilt some of the ambiance.

Great welcoming and sorted out very professionally by Asia.

Hotel Meals was very nice restaurant quality and price but server in a Bar lounge pub lounge atmosphere.

Champagne and flowers great quality

Room was lovely and clean. And good breakfast.

It really didn’t quite live up to its cost.

Room tip: No parking use Liverpool One. Champagne and flowers great quality

Having stayed in this hotel in the past we where super excited to be going again, after working non stop throughout the pandemic my sister and I decided to treat ourselves to a weeks stay in the Hard Days Night Hotel and upgraded our room to a Luxury Twin Balcony View room. Checking in was brilliant the lady on the front desk was very helpful and explained the covid guidelines to us. We got into our room and this is where the problems started, firstly our twin room with two beds only had one double not a major issue but annoying when you have booked for two beds. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned there were layers of dust on the bedside cabinets, I had to remove a squashed dead spider from the wall, the bathroom doorframe had questionable stains on it as did the carpet near the bed. The shower had layers of grime and dirt under the screen. You could also hear everything that was happening in the room next door to ours. We decided we would check out and go stay in another hotel. The duty manager Jen was very apologetic and offered us a different room and also a free nights stay however due to the lack of cleanliness we declined the offer choosing to stay elsewhere. The state of the room is bad enough but during an ongoing pandemic this is unacceptable. This is an absolute shame and we are gutted as this was one of our favourite places to stay in Liverpool.
