Owner description: Football is one of the city's greatest passions. There are two big clubs in the city, but it's those playing in red who enjoy most of the attention. Liverpool FC opens its Anfield Stadium to visitors during the day when no games are scheduled. Led by enthusiastic guides, the museum and stadium tour gives sports fans behind-the-scenes access to one of the best-known soccer clubs in the world.

“Well worth the taxi fare!”
Reviewed 24 August 2012

If you love futbol, this is the tour! From the harbor it will cost you about 15 American dollars for the taxi ride. The tour itself is well done showing the locker rooms, the media room, the actual field and stadium. Make sure you dine upstairs in the Boot Room! And bring a penny to have printed in the machine.

“Fab family day out”
Reviewed 22 August 2012

We went on the stadium tour as a family day out. I'm not a fan of football but even I loved this trip. The tour guides were outstanding we went on an afternoon tour. Th tour guides really made the tour fun and interesting . The museum was outstanding for people of all ages . We had drinks in the cafe which was reasonable and very nice surroundings. Excellent value. Excellent staff. Excellent day out would do it all over again .

LFC vs Stoke City, 14 Jan 2012..

Got the bus from City Centre not all the way to the ground as our ticket only covered the other bus company we were told. We got off at Oakfield Rd and walked down toward Anfield, trying in vain to hide my excitement. Cut toward the street to the right so as to enter from Anfield Rd and take it all in and get pictures along the way. Made our way to the famous Shankly Gates and eternal flame memorial for the 96. We met up with my mate’s parents who we’d arranged to meet before we all attended the match. The first thing that struck me about Anfield was that compared to other stadiums I’d visited around the world it seemed relatively small and could be circumnavigated quite quickly.

We stopped for some photos at the Shankly statue and had a bit of a chat before going off to collect our tickets and take up our seats in the upper Anfield Road end. Disappointingly, one of our seats was partially obstructed by railing at the end of the row. Couldn’t believe this as in order to secure tickets from home in Australia, we had to book the Bootroom corporate package with dinner and at close to $200 AUD a pop, we expected better………..Hearing YNWA ringing through the hears quickly improved the whole experience. The match got underway and despite dominating open play, LFC only created a couple of chances the whole match both of which were squandered and the match ended in a 0-0 draw. An odd starting formation and the ref, Webb didn't help either. But great still to finally attend a match!
