No phone which is a problem when you want to call about any questions/problems about the room. There are 3 rooms on the top of the stairs (53 of them) 15,16 and 17. The guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful as he helped us with the suitcases as we were both females. I didn't use the wifi, but my friend had trouble in the room but was better on the 1st floor close to the reception desk.
I liked the location of the hotel and the breakfast was not bad as it was included with the room when booked. If you are very large, you may have trouble in the very small bathroom as it also has a shower inside. Room 17 had a quiet back room, I imagine the 2 rooms in front were noisy near the street as you had to open the window since no a/c.

Room Tip: Only 1 mile from Buckingham Palace and a little more to Big Ben/Westminister area and 10 minute walk to Victoria Station.

Firstly: the word "hotel" does not fit the place. But here are plenty of such hotels so let's leave it. As a B&B accommodation was good. Room was small with small bathroom with shower (amazing how they put it all in such a small space) and still there was a room for a nightstand and hangers behind door... Everything you need to spend a nice night or few. But we arrived to explore London a bit (not our first trip). And after good breakfast that you can eat in hotel it's very close to many sights and attractions - location of the hotel is perfect. Generally, you should not expect luxury. It is nice, clean and quiet.

This is a 2* bed and breakfast, so you should set up your expectations for that.
The location is good, the rooms are fair and the reception works 24/7
Be aware there is no service and better plan to get breakfast elsewhere as the timing window is very short....
There is a grocery 1 block away as well as a pub

No phone. Tiny room sweltering heat. 7 very narrow and steep flights of stairs. 1 locker old and worn. Smelly smoke from next room blowing in window. No sockets beside bed. No tea or coffee kettle. Old spring single mattress bed pushed together to make double. Tiny shower and toilet approx 3x2. Constant traffic noise all night. Weak wi fi constantly losing signal. My advice avoid like the plague. They take full payment when you arrive before you see the room.
Broken bedside lamps.

A very basic hotel. Room was right at the top of the house, no lift! You walked into the bathroom, then the bedroom. Clean room though. A bizarre place to stay. Good area with lots happening. Ok for somewhere to put your head down, no frills.
