Owner description: There can be no other theatre in the world which has two such distinct and diverse claims to fame as the Aldwych.During the period from 1925 until 1933 the theatre housed a series of farces by Ben Travers which have gone down in history as 'The Aldwych Farces'. They included such familiar titles as A Cuckoo in the Nest, Rookery Nook, Thark, Plunder and A Cup of Kindness. Nearly 30 years later, on 15 December 1960, the Royal Shakespeare Company took over the Aldwych as its London base.During the next 21 years, prior to the company moving to its theatre in the Barbican, history was frequently made. The Aldwych is currently the residence for the Olivier & Tony award winning Beautiful - The Carole King Musical

Wow wow wow!. What a fabulous show!. From the moment the curtain went up we were transported back to Nutbush where Tina grew up. The whole cast were fantastic, especially Adrienne Warren and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith who played Tina and Ike Turner. It was an outstanding and emotional performance . We relived their story. The music was fantastic and everyone was on their feet at the end. I definitely recommend this amazing show.

We came to see Tina the Musical at the beautiful Aldwych Theatre, which has recently had a make over. We were sat on row H in the Grand Circle and had superb views of the whole theatre and stage. The show was about the life story of Tina Turner and then a medley of Tina's hits at the end. We were all up dancing and singing at the end. The whole cast were incredible from start to finish! I was a little disappointed that it was the understudy for Tina and didn't get to see Adrienne Warren but Jenny Fitzpatrick did a great job. What a great show!

OMG you just have to see this show - it is full of pathos, energy, amazing dancing and Jenny Fitzpatrick who played Tina at the matinee on Saturday the 31st March was on fire! She was absolutely fantastic and the theatre roof nearly blew off when she sang the Tina Classics! The band were terrific and the whole cast just out of this world. Please don't miss this show - it is a masterpiece!

Not disappointed with this, the music is excellent and extremely well woven into the storyline around Tina’s life. The lead actor was incredible sounded and looked like Tina. All of the cast were very good.

I will be returning, this is the best show in the west end, awesome music sung with gusto.....excellent

Lovely theatre, not huge but this adds to the amazing atmosphere that this musical creates. Anyone with even the slightest interest in Tina will thoroughly enjoy this amazing show.
