We enjoyed a three night return visit to this oddly named Radisson (Edwardian? Berkshire?). The hotel has an excellent location on Oxford Street, close to both hi-end and mid-market shopping and a huge selection of restaurants. It’s also across the street from the Bond Street Underground and within metres of bus routes to most of central London. While the hotel is not within walking distance of any of the major cultural centres except the Royal Academy there are easy public transport connections to most of these.

The building itself is squeezed into a small triangular site and space is at a premium. The lobby is tiny and often congested. Our ‘standard’ room and bathroom were small but both were intelligently designed and well-equipped and storage was good. There were some luxury touches such as complimentary newspapers and shoe shines. We also enjoyed the Japanese prints which decorate the rooms and some of the public area.

Wi-Fi is free throughout, simple to use and fast. The overworked front-of-house staff are unusually pleasant and solicitous.

Breakfast is a rather ‘average’ buffet in a somewhat basic setting – good value for big eaters but less so for us. There are many nearby alternatives.

This Radisson is not a destination but it’s a good base and reasonably priced by London standards.

this us my 2nd stay at the hotel, better experience though. My 1st wasn't pleasant stay at all and I intended to not visit this hotel again ever but i had to as i wanted a hotel at oxford st. And all hotels were either fully booked or crazy price. Anyways, staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean but needs a HUGE renovation, its tiny room but hey its london and i knos i was paying the 400+$ per night for the location not the room itself but even though hotel with this name and price really needs a better and newer furniture. Location is superb.
