First time stopping at the Albion Hotel. Got a little confused to finding the reception at Melville but that was just my poor sense of direction.

Room was modern, clean, pleasant. Yes, it was a little small but there was only me there so was just fine for one person, a couple, might find it a squeeze but as I say fine for me.

Shower was great, bed was clean and compfy. Location great too, close to everything you need.

I would happily stop again, infact, I'm looking to for my stay in October. My only snag stopping me from hitting 5 stars is the tea and coffee facitlies.

You get a kettle and a mug in the room. But if you want a drink you have to walk across to Melville and buy a "tea pack" which costs £5 for, two tea bags, two coffee sachets, four sugars four milk.

I found this way overpriced and is something I would have expected complimentary anyway. So I wandered over to starbucks lol!

It was the third time de was at that hotel. I sent a request for a room on the ground level as I have large troubles with hips. We have got a room on the second level without any elevator. It has been a nightmar for going to that room. The quality is also lower. Previous time there was teabags or cofee in the room this time nothing.
Of course the location is still very well.

So firstly some positives- great location about 5 minutes from kings cross, staff were very friendly.
Now for the bad points! Only stay here if you are stick thin and on your own. The room is so small the bathroom is a joke. This hotel is ideal for one person for one night and only if you don’t expect to stay more than a few hours in it. Walls were paper thin so you can hear all of the activities in the rooms around you. Television didn’t work as the aerial had been broken previously.
One other positive it was clean as there was a strong smell of bleach throughout the room!!

The hotel is in a good location, convenient for travelling around London. The room was clean and well maintained. Overall good for the price. My main criticism was on leaving fairly early we handed the key back to the person in the main building. On answering the door we were greeted with a grunt, an unhappy look and no other words. No thank you or a goodbye. I stay in many hotels and I'm realistic about what you get for your money, however I do expect manners and civility as these cost nothing from a hotel to provide.
