We actually first heard about this cheese when we dined at Frenchie's in Paris. He features Neal Yard cheese on his cheese plate. We were walking around Borough Market and came upon this cheese shop. It was VERY busy. You can sample as many as you wish. We tried several cheeses and bought a cheddar and a blue cheese - which were both delicious. Highly recommended.

Just by borough market you must go here if you are near.
It's not just a cheese shopping sells British cheese.but it's like they are trying to find u your perfect match.
The first thing you will see is someone with a knife offering you a slice of cheese.
You will probably have about 10 slices of various cheeses by the time you leave .

Tell them what sort of cheese you like. I.e. hard, soft, sour, crumbly, creamy, strong. They will drill down and find you a marvellous cheese.

I went In bout 5 years ago and could only tell them I liked manchego a Spanish cheese
Came away with a great English sheep's cheese.
Today daughter said she liked French roule.
She's now enjoying a grey doomed goats cheese called dorstone.

Again it's not cheap but it's fab.
Christmas last year spent 70 quid but everyone said the cheeses we had out over Christmas and new year were amazing
Oh and don't forget you can freeze cheese!

Ploughman' Lunch was a Christmas present to me and my son. Was a full compliment of other participants, about 22, and a well laid out table consisting of 8 different cheese with bread and a glass of wine, cider and some cordial. Our hostess was very pleasant and talked us through the various cheese in order, explaining how and where the cheeses were made and how old/new they were. The upstairs room was nothing special but perfectly suitable for the occasion. Stairs up to the toilet are a bit steep so suggested visitors considered coming down backwards for safety sake.

I love cheese and am always keen on tasting new cheeses. This cheese shop just around the corner of Neal's yard is worth a visit. The wheels of cheese are impressive and make a great subject for good photo shots. Tasting them is even better. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to let you sample the different cheeses. A must for any cheese fan!
