We had a lunch reservation in December. It did not disappoint. The food, the service and the ambience were all what we expected from a 3 star establishment. We particularly found the maitre'd exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to return.

While I have no doubt there are people who eat here on a very regular basis, for most of us, particularly those who do not live or work in the capital, a visit to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is something to look forward to and comes with high expectations.

Those high expectations are with you as you enter the understated front door, are welcomed and shown to your table.

The expectations are met in terms of the thought that has been given to the table set up with tables for two generally positioned around the walls with both chairs backing on to the wall at an angle facing inwards, making an ideal format for the waiters to attend, inform and create theatre, and an ideal set-up for the diners to retain privacy and intimacy but have a view of the goings on in the restaurant.

The expectation is met again with an amuse bouche of a clear tomato consommé over miniature tomatoes and edible flowers providing the most surprising and exquisite taste experience.

The Steak Tartare and the Tomato starter also came with exceptional flavours which could not have been predicted from appearance alone.

Mains of Skate and Mutton continued the taste extravaganza and the presentation throughout was just excellent.

A bottle of perfectly chilled Sancerre complimented all, as did the absolutely excellent bread offered

The peach dessert was both a work of art and triumph of flavour and the petit four of chocolate and frozen spheres was a very nice end to a lunch which more than lived up to my aforementioned high expectation.

The service was good........... professional and orchestrated with a friendly touch would describe it perfectly, but this just complimented the headline act, the taste, flavour and quality of the food.

I have been fortunate to have visited some high end restaurants over the years however I don't believe I have experienced such an array of fantastic flavours right across a complete meal - Excellent!

Put this in the "stretch" category of your trip planning. Pricey and exclusive but extremely good. Strict dress code is enforced but they are really nice about it. One of our party was wearing dark sneakers thinking he could pass, but they discreetly brought him shoes in his size (they stock men's and women's shoes in every size for such occasions!)
The meal started with champagne or G&T. Delicious amuse bouche. Every dish was superb. My son ate the suckling pig and pronounced it the best meat dish ever. The service was attentive, constantly replenishing glasses, bread, silverware.
Though it may seem like a tourist trap, it isn't. Absolutely worth the advance reservation!

A family of five visiting on Good Friday for a double celebration! Thirty-four staff for a maximum sixty covers with a capacity of around forty-five guests.

The staff are attentive, the food exquisite and the experience phenomenal!

There’s a reason this is a 3-Michelin star restaurant, it’s faultless!

You feel special just visiting and they even showed us around the kitchen on a busy night!

Absolutely love this place
