We came here after visiting the Almeida Theatre just round the corner. Great welcome and relaxed friendly staff. Varied menu with plenty of choice and prices. House red wine was delicious for £4.95 a glass. Chicken breast escallop was moist and thinly sliced with fabulous mushroom & cream sauce served with amazingly crispy sauté potatoes. Husband had Pollo Milanese with Spaghetti Pomadore which he devoured with gusto! The Tiramisu was lovely and not too sweet or covered in cream. The waiting staff were solicitous and looked after us very well. The best double espresso for a long time! We will return!
Only one drawback was that tables are very close together so people had to move to let us get out! OK if they don't grumble!!

They do a nice Margherita, that's about I can say. Quick, clean, staff that seemed a little distracted, had trouble ordering/paying as we were in a hurry. Can't say I'd go back.

My boyfriend and I live on Islington High Street and eat La Porchetta's pizzas regularly, either in the restaurant or as a take-away. We always pay a little extra for the Buffalo Mozzarella as we think it's worth it for the fantastic taste! The staff have also always been really great - attentive and very friendly. We'll continue ordering pizzas from here and highly recommend!

Dropped in here on a Saturday night as all the other restaurants in the street were either booked or too expensive for us (we didn't want to dine out for several courses or more than 12£ for a main dish)...
Place was not full, staff very friendly and fast, we had a pizza quatro formagi (4 cheeses) and a pizza pollo (chicken breast, red peppers, button mushrooms and red onions). Both very good (thin dough, could have been a bit more crispy) and around 9,50£, accompanied by some Softdrinks and juice of 2,30£ each. Pleasent place!

If I had read some of the reviews we probably wouldn't have eaten here. This was our first visit to what was a very basic restaurant but on arrival the staff - all of them - were very welcoming. The food was served efficiently and with a smile and it tasted good. The wine also was good value and overall this was an enjoyable evening.
