London is not known for Friendly faces, however this Bar and Restaurant flies in the face of that. On a recent 2 day trip we found this a bolthole at the end of miles and miles of sightseeing. They do an early Bird 2 course option titled "Pre Theatre" from 5pm-7pm each evening, Its presented extremely well and the waiting staff on both evenings were warm and welcoming, they make this place a little haven & on both nights, plenty of locals from the shops and offices heading in for their after work drinks, Fresh displays of funky flowers on the the bar too. loved it. Worth a return visit next time we get to London.Last but not least they serve a great "Pint" of Guiness that is any Guiness lovers will tell you a "Good Pint" is the holy grail of any Pub.

My partner and I went here on our first night in London 22/03/18, we got greeted straight away and shown our seats, we then looked at the menu and ordered food and cocktails. Few minutes past and the cocktails arrived which I thought was good oh how wrong was I, my partner ordered a bramble and it was nothing spectacular honestly it was a pretty poor attempt on a classic cocktail, I then tried my mojito it was worse. We then got a jug of orange juice and I don’t know how but even that was awful it tasted like dust witch a hint of orange. Never the less the food arrived and it was lukewarm. After that we decided we will maybe have a desert but we never got a menu to look at and was asked where we ready to order then the waiter realised he hadn’t give us menus and went and got some and then we waited another 10 minutes at least so we just paid our bill and left very unsatisfied.

Hi Kieran,

Just do double check you was actually in Hudson's as there is 4 restaurants in the hotel ?? as we do not do jugs of juice also we use freshly squeezed orange juice so slightly baffled by this.
Any how if it was Hudson's I do apologise for your experience but you could of given us the chance to rectify the situation, as you can see from most of our reviews we are a friendly team and would of changed any cocktail to your liking without question.

If customers do not inform staff or managers if they are unhappy until they get home and find the time to search for us on review sites and write a negative review then there is nothing we can actually do to improve your evening out.

Kind Regards HH

Situated at the base of the St Giles hotel but actually it's not part of the hotel. Not the cheapest but ok for central London. House wine is good and reasonable. Nice setting and good service. Recommended.
