Description: In a prime location off Regent Street, Gaucho Piccadilly is an upmarket Argentinean steakhouse housed in the old wine cellars of the Mexican ambassador. The vaulted restaurant is decked out in cowhide, a knowing nod to the chunky menu full of cuts of luxury steak, including the tender Bife de Lomo, aged for six to eight weeks and then flown in from Buenos Aires. Large selection of Argentine wines, bar and late-night supper lounge.

Visited Gaucho for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is always an amazing experience from the minute you step foot in the door. We were seated downstairs this time (prefer upstairs) however the table we had was fine. The food was incredible however disappointing there is no dauphinois potatoes on the menu anymore. Expensive but the quality is amazing and totally worth the money. They even wished me happy birthday (shown attached). We will definitely return!

Oustanding service combined with good food. The set menu was excellent and worth the price for central London. I had a later reservation but was accommodated earlier without hesitation on a busy Saturday. I will visit again

A great treat for your sins. The restaurant closely located at Piccadilly. A nice setting with modern interiors and an international atmosphere. Great set of of wines and drinks. The meat we had was truly amazing. Good help from the staff in pairing the food and the food with the wine.

Great service and the Sunday roast lunch (steak option) was fantastic! Bit odd why there is a £3 supplement for the steak roast dinner when this is a steak restaurant though.

The portion sizes are tiny , the food made me feel ill it was all so drenched in oil and butter , the supposedly famous beef was tough and incredibly fatty and greasy and the knives were too blunt to cut. The bread was very dry.

The waiter tried to clear our table half way through eating , it felt rushed and uncomfortable and just generally not fun or special in anyway. Considering we were spending a lot we may as well have gone to McDonald's , it would have been more atmospheric , better service and a similar level of food.

The fire alarm went off three times while we were trying to eat which was annoying .

The staff seem to struggle with English, trying to order or ask the most basic things was tedious and annoying.

The roof bar which we came for was closed because it's winter apparently which is ridiculous and annoying .

We were moved twice by the waitress and put next to a fire which was so hot and uncomfortable that one of our friends had a heat induced nose bleed non joke.

We stayed for drinks after our meal , were never attended to by a waitress so had to go get one. She didn't know what drinks there were , she brought the wrong teas and argued with us about it , she then walked off with the wrong tea and never returned with drinks menus which we asked for three times. We then had to go get her to order a bottle of house wine ( which by the way is a cheap Chardonnay and costs £30 in gaucho) . She never came back to offer us any drinks. I had to seek her out to get sugar etc for the tea. We have up waiting after an hour and went and got her to get the bill - which they add a 12.5% service charge too which was a joke given the crap service we got .
The drinks were stupidly expensive , the atmosphere was potentious and uncomfortable and the experience wasn't fun.

Oh and the toilets didn't have toilet paper in.

We were out to celebrate , we wanted to treat ourselves and do something special and it very much felt like once they knew we weren't spending hundreds a head or celebrities we were shoved in a corner and ignored.
