Booked Easter Sunday lunch for ten and we were seated in the Boudoir, which turns out to have been the head’s study when it was a school. What a luxury to have a private room, with a lovely member of staff to look after us! A square table instead of a long thin one was a bonus too as it made it easier to talk. Everything from start to finish was absolutely spot on - we’d been to a wedding here a week earlier so it wasn’t a fluke. Top quality food, beautifully presented in fabulous surroundings, served by attentive staff. We will most certainly be back.

Second visit and very impressed yet again. Great value for money £17 for a 2 course or £20 for a 3 course set lunch. Service was excellent and hygiene standards impeccable.

Short walk from home to the lovely 17th century Acklam Hall restored to its former glory, now a fantastic place to come and dine. My wife and I had breakfast,I had the Traditional breakfast great value at £12 which included the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomato, mushroom, hash browns, coffee and 3rounds of toast with preserves,my wife had French Toast with Streaky Bacon. This was well presented with excellent service. If you want to dine in beautiful surroundings this is the place to come, a jewel in my home town Middlesbrough.

Went for afternoon tea at Acklam Hall and had a lovely afternoon in pleasant surroundings. The food and cakes that came were nice and there was plenty. There was no limit on tea and coffee which is where others fail... we also stayed for a drink afterwards which was in the equally pleasant bar.
A big mention must go to the staff as they couldn’t have been anymore helpful and friendly. This made our afternoon very enjoyable and I’m sure we’ll be going back at some point.
