Next to the market in the centre of Norwich and opposite the Forum - get away from the crowds - well worth visiting and free of charge. Welcomed by helpful volunteer. Don't miss the tapestry behind the protective curtain. Interesting stained glass.
Very informative and interesting tour of this impressive church including the tapestry which is hidden behind a curtain. The stained glass windows and the font were particularly impressive....well worth a visit
Historically and architecturally interesting site to visit when in Norwich - highly recommended and right in the centre.
This church is huge, and easily matches some cathedrals. The church was open to visitors and we were welcomed by a volunteer, who gave a potted history of the church and how best to walk round and explore the church. The stained glass windows are spectacular in their detail.
Why wouldn't you visit this lovely old church. You can feel the history snd the old wool merchants of the past. Visit the market and then come in for a rest and some peace. Try and conic with one of the musical concerts - get acoutstics. Norwich centre is so lovely, with some many things to allow you to spend a day.
This church situated in Central Norwich was built between 1430 and 1455.After the cathedrals it is the largest church in the city and indeed one of the largest in the county. It is a Grade 1 listed building.
The church has a Norman foundation, Flemish stained glass windows, tapestry and medieval glass. If you are lucky enough to hear them St Peter Mancroft has a ring of fourteen bells, eleven of which date from 1775
