Great quality good and good quantity for a breakfast. Had to wait for the good but it was cooked fresh-which is always better.

I was looking forward to a trip to Saint's, having seen the TripAdvisor reviews and knowing that the fry-up inspector had recommended the place.

I ordered the large cooked breakfast. I was served expertly cooked, ok quality back bacon, 2 butchers sausages, slightly overdone, 2 not-fresh, flavourless fried eggs, one resting ATOP the baked beans and flanked by a tinned tomato. Limp hash browns, apparently microwave-cooked. Unseasoned mushrooms. A slice of Kingsmill toast. Quite why the fry-up inspector loved it, I don't know, it seemed average to me. Very good value, but I can think of 4 places within a few hundred yards where I could pay a little more for something a great deal better.

Visited this cafe today at lunch time today for a quick sandwich but it was nothing but quick. It took 35 minutes to serve up a tuna and cucumber baguette even though the place was virtually empty. Finally served up limp warm and guess what - no cucumber! It was obvious that the old man preparing the food didn't want to be their and had the hump - being unfriendly and banging around the kitchen for 30 minutes before starting to prepare the baguette. If I hadn't paid in advance I would have walked and didn't dare to complain.

What super little place. Had breakfast with my wife this morning. Fantastic welcome and a vast array of choice. Coffee and tea were piping hot and very tasty. The bacon and egg sandwiches we had were cooked to perfection in an open kitchen. Great value for money too - we will be back
