We took a chance on Oxnead House for our first overseas trip to visit a friend in Norwich, and we were incredibly lucky. The grounds and accommodations were superb. Ian and Pia made you feel like a true guest and available for advice or help without being in the way either, which was perfect for us. They've done wonderful work, keeping the character of the farm, but providing all the modern amenities to make you feel like you're in a first class hotel. My wife and five year old son were equally impressed with it. Great place to travel with a family and feel totally at ease. There is a village and nice pub within easy walking distance, and if you range just a bit further you can enjoy the Norfolk countryside, or Norwich proper. It's close to a lot, but if you close your eyes, you feel like you're away from everything. We couldn't imagine a better stay than the one we had here. Truly perfect.

We have stayed at Oxnead House four times over the last 18 months. We have been by ourselves (family of four,) with my sister's family and also with our parents. Each stay has been amazing as from the moment we arrive, with the welcome we receive along with the wonderful cottages, we have the most relaxing holiday imaginable!
We always do our shopping online, but get the meat from Orchard Farm shop as it provides the most amazing quality and taste, especially the bacon!
We have experienced each cottage and each one is as wonderful as the next. They all have their own private gardens which is great as well as use of the communal garden with the climbing frame and space for football!
The location of Oxnead couldn't be any better, 10 minutes drive to the Riverside at Norwich where Carrow Road is as well as a huge Morrisons and lots of eateries and things to do. Access to the Norfolk Broads and all things boats are either way on the road out of Rockland St Mary. The pub, the New Inn is 3 minutes walk down the road and serves fab food and caters for children.
The secret to Oxnead is the owners Pia and Ian, as they want to ensure that you have the holiday that you had hoped for and more!! They are Oxnead and as such, amazing! Thank you and see you as soon as we can manage!

There are three other cottages on this delightful piece of Norfolk. We have just stayed in the Dairy. It was warm comfortable and well equipped. Close to Norwich and the coast. A pub within walking distance with great food and a small shop/post office. Good value for money.
