This place has great character having three main areas, the bar, the downstairs restaurant and a sort of family room upstairs. They were busy for our lunchtime visit so we ended up in the family room. Whether the other people in there were staying guest or not I don't know but it was very relaxing to be among groups playing dominos and reading.
As you would expect in Whitby the food and drink was of very high quality and of course feature plenty of local fresh seafood. My mussels were great! Service was very good if slightly haphazard; not a criticism, it matched the style of the establishment.
